Ingmar Bergman

and His Legacy in Fashion and Art

I participated in the creation of the exhibition for the 100th anniversary of Ingmar Bergman.
The exhibition was displayed in 46 cities around the world in 2018.

My job was to find the style and do art direction. I made the logo and templates which were used throughout the exhibition material.

Bergman was the most influential filmmaker of all time. He favoured black and white colours in his movies, the few movies where colour was used there was an emphasis on red.

The works of Ingvar Bergman are quite minimalistic and very often he went beyond the usual film norms.
Matching his directorial style, discreet colours and simple shapes where chosen and just like in Ingvars movies, text and typography were allowed to go break out of boundaries.
